Dad was in world war two. He was in the Pacific after pearl Harbor. He was on a anti-aircraft battery. He shot down an airplane because somebody paniced and he had to jump in there. He and the Sgt. didn't report him because they didn't want him to get into trouble for just being plain scared. It was very interesting to hear dad talk about when he was in the war. There's a memorial at the West Land mall in West Burlington of all the men who fought in world war two and dad's name is listed on there. We took a picture of it. He fought for our country so in my book dad was a "Hero". xoxo
